Phone Book Delivery

Print Friendly

Most club events require members to find attendees or sell something but not this one. Phone book delivery is fun, a great team building activity, improves fitness and can generate some much-needed income for your club of up to $100 per week without having to pressure members to open their wallets, all you need is their time.

PDC Australia handle the Yellow and White page deliveries Australia wide but there are also smaller local companies worth contacting. PDC will advertise via their website when they are looking for nominations in areas.

Financial Considerations

Your club will need an ABN to participate as well as volunteers and a suitable vehicle but apart from that, nothing else is required that will test the club coffers

Promotion

Your club will need volunteers to participate so promote the Phone Book Delivery as a fun way to get some fitness up and help the club without having to dip into pockets. Design a competition to encourage participation like splitting delivery rounds between teams at your club and awarding a prize for the team that raises the most revenue for the year.

Revenue Opportunities

Revenue raised will vary between delivery companies. They generally pay on a 'per address' basis rather than 'per book' because some businesses will request more than one book. In general terms expect anywhere from 20cents to 45cents per premise visited.

Licences and Permits

Check with the delivery company to ensure that you have all the necessary paperwork to act as a contractor to deliver phone books.
